Montgomery County will celebrate its agricultural heritage, promote local farms, and indulge in seasonally fresh food during the 28^th Annual Farm Tour and Harvest Sale on Sat., July 22^nd and Sun., July 23^rd at farms throughout the county.   This event takes place rain or shine; however, rain may cause some events and activities at the farms to be delayed or cancelled.  The Farm Tour provides people an opportunity to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants and other local products.  Several farms have hayrides, pony rides, music, demonstrations and other fun and educational activities for people of all ages.  Spend a day or two in the country petting farm animals or having lunch by a scenic pond.  It’s a great family day outing.  For Farm Tour and Harvest Sale brochures visit www.montgomerycountymd.gov/AgServices/agfarmtour.html.  For more info call 301-590-2823.
