Buzzing for Change
April 8, 2017 1:00pm @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Students from George Washington University will host their tenth annual head-shaving marathon to benefit Special Love, an NIH related charity for children with cancer. Buzzing for Change at GWU is one of four such events held at schools throughout the Mid-Atlantic and will include awesome music, free pizza and lots of people getting their haircuts! This year, there will be a minimum donation of about $9.99 for a haircut. Participants shave their heads for money (pledges you collect) or just cut off enough (8” or more) to donate to Locks of Love. Not sure about the hair cut…you can always volunteer. Money raised from the event will be given to Special Love to help support children living with cancer. Prizes will be awarded to top-earners. So if you are looking to get a haircut why not head over to GWU and see what the buzz is all about!
