Gather up your friends and co-workers and come on over to the Annual Camp Fantastic BBQ!  This year we hope to send 10 kids away to camp but can’t do it without your help.  Join us Tuesday, June 12^th on the South Lawn of Bldg. 10 from 11am – 2pm.  The afternoon will be filled with great food from the Beef on the Street, Greek on the Street, and Funnel Fare, music from the Directors Band, games, photo booth shenanigans, our weekly Community Market and more!  Everyone in attendance will be eligible for ONE FREE funnel cake sponsored by the NIH Federal Credit Union. While enjoying your meal, make sure you take time to check out the silent auction, visit the Community Market and our sponsor fair featuring Southern Management, the NIHFCU, the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Suite America, Home Fix Custom Remodeling, Contemporaries, American Inn of Bethesda, Villages of Urbana, T-Mobile, Pet Parents and Fed Advantage, and play some fun games (outdoor Jenga, Cornhole).  Purchase your meal directly from the food trucks.  A percentage of all food sales and proceeds from the silent auction will go to help support the Special Love/Camp Fantastic program.  You do not need to be present to win.  It costs $700 to send a child with cancer to Camp Fantastic for a week.  Help us send 10 children to camp.  Come be a part of the event, and bring your coworkers, and make a difference in a child’s life!

About Camp Fantastic – Special Love, Inc.

Children with cancer have to grow up much too fast.  They feel different from other children and many miss out on activities that healthy children experience daily.  This was the reason Special Love was created.  Special Love programs, including Camp Fantastic, offer children with cancer the chance to jump, play, explore, laugh, swim and make friends through a community of support, made up of patients, family, and staff who know and understand the trials and triumphs of battling childhood cancer.  We need your contributions to assist Special Love in their mission.
