“A Summer Concert Gala” will be presented by the NIH Community Orchestra and Chorus. This one-time performance will take place Sunday, June 9^th at 3pm at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church, 9601 Cedar Lane, Bethesda, MD.  The Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto #2 opus 22 (soloist Camille Jones) and Selections from Gayaneh by Khachaturian, including Dance of the young maidens, Lullaby, and Sabre Dance. The event also includes Chorus performances from Verdi’s Quattro Pezzi Sacri, including Verdi’s Ave Maria (acapella) No.1 and Stabat Mater No.2 (Orchestra and Chorus).  Free parking, no tickets; donations welcome to benefit the NIH charities.
