The NIH R&W Fitness program is now seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Group Fitness Instructor

Description:

NIH R&W Fitness Group Exercise Instructors are high energy, creative thinking and enjoy interacting in a group setting. They provide cutting-edge group fitness instruction through a variety of fun, engaging classes to promote health and fitness, act as a fitness resource for class participants and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage continued class attendance. Due to the flexible scheduling this position is great for those looking to add some additional activities to their workout routine and additional income.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining group fitness classes.
+ Clean and organize studio after each Group Fitness class.
+ Promote NIH R&W Fitness promotions, programs and services to class participants.
+ Motivate members to continue to consistently attend Group Fitness classes.
+ Consistently meet daily class attendance goals.

Qualifications:

+ One-year experience as a fitness instructor
+ CPR/AED certification
+ Minimum of one nationally recognized Group Exercise Certification
+ High School Diploma or GED

Pilates Instructor

Description:

As a NIH R&W Fitness Pilates instructor, you will be responsible for guiding members through invigorating Pilates practices. Dedicate yourself to teaching the mindful aspect of Pilates and employ your ability to bring Pilates into the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop safe, professional and comprehensive Pilates training programs to ensure clients are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness goals.
+ Instruct group Pilates classes while maintaining the cleanliness of the Group Fitness studio.
+ Promote Pilates classes to members.
+ Achieve or exceed monthly revenue goals.

Qualifications:

+ Pilates Method Alliance approved Pilates certification required
+ Peak Pilates System, Power Pilates, or Stott Pilates certification preferred
+ One year Pilates instruction experience preferred

Yoga Instructor

Description:

As an NIH R&W Fitness Yoga Instructor, you will provide various yoga classes to our members to help them enjoy their fitness experience and improve overall sense of well-being.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop safe, professional and comprehensive yoga classes to ensure clients are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness goals. Monitor and instruct clients during yoga classes.
+ Motivate members to continue working toward their fitness goals by consistently attending yoga classes.
+ Respond to member comments and suggestions in a timely and professional manner.
+ Consistently meet daily class attendance goals.

Qualifications:

+ 1 plus years Yoga instructor experience
+ CPR/AED certification
+ Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor – 200 hour level (RYT-200) required

Cycling Instructor

Description:

As an NIH R&W Fitness Cycling Instructor, you will join an elite team of Fitness Professionals who are responsible for creating and delivering quality workouts.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in cycling classes.
+ Plan and lead cycling classes.
+ Communicate regularly with supervisor.
+ Take attendance and maintain related records.
+ Participate in staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.

Qualifications:

+ Current CPR certification
+ Certification in Cycling and/or Spinning
+ Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper skill techniques
+ Ability and desire to interact with participants and staff in a supportive and professional manner
